Passive Voice

After going over the mid-term exam, I think we all agree that we need to do some work on the FCE Use of English exercises. The language focus in the beginning of Unit 10 is Passive Voice. So here is a link for an explanation of the usage and some links for some exercises, some of which include active/passive sentence transformations.

Also, here are some phrasal verb exercises connected to the topic of crime.

I also found a really nice interactive piece on British youth crime. Open the book and have a go at the various activities. I'd really like to know what you think about it. If that one doesn't work here's another one about violence and guns.

I would also like to give individual feedback to everyone during the lab class to talk about your progress this semester.

  2. I liked so much the web site.I've never seen an activity so interesting and interactive like this one, in which you can learn and give your opinion about the typical problems that we have all the time in our country.
It is good way to show to the students how is the world nowadays and the troubles in which themselves can be invloved.

  3. In my opinion, we have to do campaings in order to fight against crime. It is good because the community can decrease the murder rates in any community affected with that type of problems.

  4. I think that all the politics that are involved in how to manage our country, should be more dastric with the crime, because we can not do anything about it. They have the responsibility to control the delincuency and to make of Chile a better place to live.
